Unpacking Concepts Series

Unpacking Concepts Workshop Series

The Unpacking Concepts workshop series is a set of workshops hosted by the Office of Inclusion Education, Multicultural Student Center, and the Gender and Sexuality Campus Center to provide opportunities for self-exploration and action at a level appropriate for students with marginalized identities that are seeking to engage in intermediate to advanced social justice conversations. Utilizing the value of collective care, we hope to provide a community of support, resources, and facilitators that can provide insight on the experiences of living and working within social justice communities.

These workshops will be throughout the Spring 2024 semester and are intended for MSC and GSCC affiliated organizations.

If you are a person with a disability who requires any accommodations in order to participate in our programs, please contact us.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Participants will be able to define social justice concepts and the effects on our communities.
  • Participants will be able to demonstrate self-awareness of their identities and experiences.
  • Participants will build a skill necessary to build a socially just approach.
  • Participants will be able to name at least one resource available to them to address and challenge oppression.
